Terms of Use

These are the terms governing your purchase of the Preset Lab and related add-ons (Lifetime Updates Pass, DC Effects + Subject Retouch). Read carefully — no fine print.

What you're buying

The Preset Lab is a pack of 36 Lightroom presets (.xmp format, works in Lightroom Classic, CC and Mobile), plus a PDF guide and the DC Tools utility pack. Optional add-ons include lifetime updates + 3D LUTs (.cube) for Photoshop, and/or DC Effects (39 effects) + Subject Retouch (9 local retouch tools).

It's a digital product. Immediate delivery via download link by email, right after payment is confirmed by Stripe.

Payment

Payment processed by Stripe in USD, via international credit or debit card. You don't create an account, you don't have a subscription, there's no auto-renewal. One-time payment.

Refund — 7-day guarantee

If within 7 days after purchase you decide the product isn't what you expected, email support@douglaschaves.com with subject "refund" and the email used at purchase.

No questions. No friction. Refund processed within 5 business days (returns to the same card used at purchase).

After refund, your usage license to the files terminates.

Usage license

You can:

• Use the presets on all your work, commercial or personal, without crediting.
• Edit and modify the presets to create variations for your use.
• Apply the presets to paying client photos and deliver those photos.

You cannot:

• Resell, redistribute, or share the original files with other people.
• Include the presets within another preset product of yours for resale.
• Claim authorship of the presets — they remain authored by me; you buy a usage license.

Updates

If you bought the Lifetime Updates Pass (add-on $9), you receive all future updates of the pack forever, via the email on file. No monthly fee, no renewal.

If you bought only the base pack, you receive the complete v1.0, no automatic updates. You can buy the Updates Pass later without losing v1.0.

Support

Support by email at support@douglaschaves.com. I reply within 24h on business days. I cover:

• Download issues (expired link, corrupted file).
• Lightroom installation problems.
• Refund per the policy above.

I don't cover support for:

• Teaching you to use Lightroom (Adobe official tutorials exist).
• Editing your photos with the preset.
• Recreating discontinued presets or customizing for your workflow.

Limitations

This product is delivered "as is". I don't guarantee it solves any editing problem, nor that your skin tones will be identical to mine — cameras, light, and RAWs differ. The pack is a base; you adjust to your eye.

In extreme cases of technical failure (server down, Stripe issue), I do my best to resolve but may disclaim liability for indirect losses (lost time, lost commercial opportunity, etc).

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Any dispute we can't resolve by email goes to the court of the consumer's residence (if Brazilian) or São Paulo/SP (if international).

Changes to these terms

I may change these terms when releasing product updates or when required by law. If the change is relevant (changing refund policy, licensing, etc), I notify by email to those who purchased.
